How do I decrypt my files after doing a SD card encryption and resetting my phone?

I am using HTC desire 816 dual sim. It has an encryption of SD card program. So I encrypted my SD card. I sent my phone to the service centre for another Issue(My SIM card wasn't working). So as a standard procedure, the people at the service centre did a factory reset on my phone. And now when I Inserted my SD card again I am unable to play files on the SD card.
I've tried the following things.
- I tried to put the old password again but the new files on the SD card got encrypted instead.
- When I 'Unencrypt" the phone, the new files also becomes unreadable like the old files.
- When I encrypt the phone again, the new files are readable again.
Any other way I could retrieve my old files again?
