How do I disable the AutoCorrect feature in SwiftKey, on Nexus 4? For example, if I type "Amy" I don't want it switched to "a my" --- and if I type I'm "Outty 5000" I don't want it switched to "Putty" etc.

SwiftKey > Advanced > Spacebar will... choose always insert a space. Boom?done.

Now, to make use of predictions while typing you can choose one from those that pop up at top or, if using Flow, when done Flowing(?) a word and what appears isn't what you want, tap the Delete key once (deleting the space and bringing the cursor up against the just completed word) and choose from the prediction list, this will replace the entire word. If the word isn't there you can press-hold Delete and the entire word will delete or you can start deleting individual letters and see if the correct word appears in the list for you to select.

settings>> language & input >> Android keyboard>> under tes correction click on Auto-correction and turn it off..

hope this helped you sir :)

I have that setting set. I haven't worked out whats happening but when I'm typing (a word without spaces) SwiftKey still changes my characters and for this reason I'm considering going back to Swype. This doesn't happen all the time but often enough to be annoying.

Hi. Try to go this way. Settings Language and input Keyboard and Input Methods Input languages than go down and select No language (QWERTY). Thanks :)

That helps only if you use 1 language. If you're like me and have to write in 3, then for 2 of them you always get your words replaced by nonsense crap and there is no way to stop that. Until that can be solved swiftkey is pretty much unusable for me.

Alternately, if you have certain words it always tries to correct, like names or slang, just type the word correctly and add it to your dictionary....should be just a tap to add function.

There seems to have been a fix introduced since this thread was last written. Now (Feb 2015) you can add languages to your 'available languages' in the settings menus of Swiftkey. If you add the languages in which you type, it downloads word lists for those so that it will recognise valid typing In those languages and not try to 'correct' them into nonsense phrases in English. To get to this setting, touch the SwiftKey app icon, then select Languages from the settings page that appears. You will then see a list of Downloaded Languages and another of Available Languages. Touch a language in the second list and it will - after getting your confirmation - download and activate that language for SwiftKey use.

This solved the problem for me on two Android devices I was using for both English and French (previously it was auto-correcting all French typing into English rubbish)
