How do I find a prepaid wireless provider for my S5?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 that I bought today from a third party. It says "Sprint" on the phone whenever you boot it up. The SIM in it is Verizon, meaning it has to be unlocked with a prepaid provider. The person I purchased it from stated they use PagePlus, but that it would be compatible with StraightTalk. I entered the DEC and HEX on the StraightTalkBYOP.com page, and it states that it is not compatible; however the SIM looks the exact same as the one in the activation kit. When visiting PagePlus's website, it indicates that Sprint phones are "banned" from being used within their network. How do I figure out which provider I can use it for?

It might have been hacked or who knows what was done to it. I would return it.

I would try Ting. They are very accommodating. Explain your situation and see what they come up with.
