How do I fix screen pixels blurry when gaming?

Re:

I'm having the same problem and I have a s7 edge. I've wiped the cache, factory reset and restarted my phone a few times. Nothing is working for me..

The follow process didn't work in Marshmallow (Samsung Galaxy S6 edge):
- Uninstall updates to Android System Webview.
- Uninstall updates to Chrome (just to be sure).
- Restart and wipe cache partition, the select Power Off.
- Wait for 30 seconds before turn it back on.

Will get back to you after updating to Nougat

guys do a soft reset. it worked for me when i opened PUBG Mobile. (for a while) if you don't know how to do it here it is. 1.take out your battery. 2.hold down you're power button for a minute. 3.put you're battery back in your phone. 4.start it up. there you go. that's it.( i realized that not everyone can take there battery out. Sorry. :D

Update to Nougat since my last post, everything is working properly, been rebooting and power cycling my phone, open and close apps, change between game with out closing them, lock/unlock my phone and the issue hasnt repeated.

*I use ODIN to update to Nougat (without hard reset) and my apps/data wasnt lost, only need to reinstall the Facebook app (was crashing)"

I am having this same problem. My games look exactly as the pic at the top in iEclipse post. I wiped the cache partition and it worked for the first game I tried but not for the other games. Now the first game is messing up again. I know it is not an android update bc I have not done an update in awhile. I did update last night to see if it would help and it did not. My problems started 2 days ago and I've had these games on my phone for awhile. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thank you for the help

This is absurd, I feel like Samsung made some kind of mistake because this happened on my Galaxy S5 and I've tried everything but a Factory Reset and nothing works at all. No matter what game I open the problem persists. From Player Unknown Battlegrounds Mobile, Critical Ops, Dokkan Battle, Clash Of Clans and even some arcade games such as Candy Crush all have the same problem. The only way I can seem to get around this is by restarting my device and immediately opening the game of choice, but once exiting everything goes blurry again. I'm worried for my device and hope a solid solution can be made.

Samsung galaxy s6, same problems, but also "ok google" stopped listening to commands. I uninstalled several old games and wiped the cache twice. "Ok google " works now. But I have reset my phone a few times. Nothing is clearing the resolution on my games.

Can you explain this to me like the slightly tech challenged person I am? Lol. What is Odin? And is the problem still fixed for you?

hello guys, finally i have come across this forum, its been 3 days now that i am having the same problem, have anyone find a solution pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Found the solution/ problem. You need to get into your app manager, find the app called game optimizing service, hit the "more" option. Uninstall all updates. Once you do this, the issue goes away. Apparently the issue is linked with the firmware version "6" and the latest version of this app. (in case you do not want to do the whole odin update firmware stuff).

I uninstalled the app but nothing has changed.

Going to ask a question that may seem stupid to some but what is Nougat? My phone just started doing this today. I've done the cache partition and I don't want to factory reset my phone. What is soft reset?

Hi, I'm having the same problem for 3 days now. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6. I tried restarting the phone and it helped at first but then it doesn't anymore. I also tried the cache clearing and even reset my phone but it doesn't work anymore. Idk if this is even an update glitch cos I haven't updated the software recently, too, like some of you. Hoping to figure out how to fix this.

Nougat is the next version of Android OS. Most of us experiencing the issue are on Marshmallow. 6.0

i also dont know how it started with my note 5. But when i installed big ticket games like rules of survival, pubg mobile it started acting up and slowly affected all my games.

i tried to wipe cache partition first but it solved it temporarily, soft reset is just rebooting the phone, also works but temporarily.

Using the guide i posted, Odin and downloading the correct firmware is the fastest and the most sure way than OTA.
Doesnt wipe anything out. just completely upgrades your phone.

Good luck guys, if you can upgrade to nougat thats a sure way of fixing it. so far so good.

GUYS I MAY HAVE FOUND A SOLUTION! (Note : This has a potential chance of bot working or everyone.

Step 1 : Open Settings and go to" Application" then "Application Manager", or find any way to get to where app data and cache etc... can be wiped or uninstalled.

Step 2: Scroll down and find "Game Optimization Service" and Click Uninstall/Disable.

Step 3 : Power off your device and take it off charge if you have it plugged in.

Step 4 : Enter the "Android Syterm Recovery" by holding down the volume up button, home button, and power button at the same exact time when the the device is powered off. (Note : Different devices may have different ways of entering the System Recovery Menu, so please Google, "How to enter Android System Recovery on the <Phone Name>"

Step 5: Navigate through the menu using the volume +/- (Up/Down) keys. Go to "Wipe Cache Partition" and select it using the Power Button. It will promt asking if you want to do it, click "Yes" (Do not worry this does NOT clear any system data).

Step 6 : After clearing the cache you will be put to the home menu of the Android System Recovery. Navigate your way to "Reboot System" and confirm using the power Button. Once done your phone will boot up as normal and all of your damaged applications should be restored.

I have tried this and my apps have shown no sign of it's usual ways over the course of 6 hours, which is a large improvement over the 5 minutes that it used to be. If you have questions you can always ask and I really hope this works for everyone here. Thank you! (Sorry for any typos that I may have made.)

I have a Note 5 and this is the same thing happening to me and just in the last 3 days. Was there some sort of update that I am unaware of that would corrupt this display file
