How do I fix Split Albums and Missing Album Art on Android 6.0?

Hello,

I've recently purchased and received a brand new OnePlus 3, and while I love it, it's my first Android device and I'm having some issues with my music library.

This album I've made on Imgur explains it better than words alone.

Essentially I find that I am stuck in a loop. When I save the split album's tags as ID-8 to fix the splitting issue, the album art is deleted. When I apply the album art again in the app or on PC, the album is split again.

What do I do?

I found a fix that worked for me, so I figured I'd post it here.

1) For Symbol Issues:

- Save Tags as ID-8 (Tools>Options>ID-8) using MP3Tag on PC.
- Transfer to your Device.
- Shutdown/Restart and check to see if the issue is fixed.
- If the album is now missing album art, proceed to step 2.

2) For Album Art Issues:

- Apply Album Art Using Android. (For me I used Blackplayer)
- Shutdown/Restart and check to see if the issue is fixed.
- If the album art shows up fine, then you're finished!
- If you want to backup the now android-compatible version of your Album, simply transfer the album folder back over from your Device onto your PC, in the place of the original files.

DO NOT fix the album art before applying ID-8 tags, or the albums will simply split again. DO NOT apply album art using MP3Player as it overwrites other tags and causes the splitting issue again as well.
