How do I get back the 'ding' when I press the Google mic button?

I'm on Verizon, with a S7 edge, running Android 7.0.

I love that ding and it's gone.

Sounds like a setting in Google app. Have you looked there? Also, maybe Settings, Display. There was a recent update to Google that made me retrain Ok Google voice, might have affected your 'ding' also.

Try adding the Clean Master Lite program. Give it all the permissions it asks for. I had the same issue and this was a solution that works all the time from others posted on the Google help pages.

Wow, thanks so much. My 'ding' is back! Any idea what this app does that re-enables the sound? Is it OK to leave this app running in the background otherwise?

Glad that helped. I usually just exit it. Doesn't seem to affect the ding.
