How do I get Chomp to not translate phone numbers in my messages?

A

AC Question

I don't know whether this is something that Chomp is doing, or something that the Android infrastructure is doing, but I often find that if I send a text message with a phone number in it, I find that when it's received on the other end (or in what I can see in the thread), the number has been changed to a different number. In particular, I sent a message to someone with one of my alternate phone numbers, and what was apparently received was with that number changed to my main cell number.

How do I disable this functionality?

The first thing I would check is to see if the keyboard app is doing auto-correct on the phone number.
