How do I get my Note 4 to automatically connect to my car stereo via Bluetooth?

Bluetooth connectivity

I have updated the firmware on my car stereo but unlike my Note 3, the Note 4 doesn't automatically connect or stay connected at all times to my car stereo. I used to be able to get in the car and turn it to BT Audio and select whatever music application I wanted and it played. Same with my phone always being connected. Now I keep having to go into the settings and make it connect. Sometimes it takes a couple times.
Could this be a bug with the latest update? I can't find anything on the phone to adjust for this that looks any different than on the Note 3.

It's really annoying and if I'm missing something I would sure appreciate the help.

Re: Bluetooth connectivity

There seems to be random issues with vehicle Bluetooth connectivity. Most people seem to have no trouble. Others report having problems getting paired and or keeping it paired. Still others, like myself, connect fine but aren't getting any metadata. There's a couple of threads on both this board and XDA.

Re: Bluetooth connectivity

Have you set up your car in Car Mode on your Note 4? It should automatically connect, and launch car mode every time you enter the car after that. It should also automatically exit car mode (and save your car's location), when you leave.

It works fine with the Uconnect system in my 2013 Chrysler 300C.

Re: Bluetooth connectivity

I've never used that before but I can try it and see if it helps. My truck isn't new enough to have any system like yours. Just connecting to my stereo via bluetooth or USB if I had to.
