How do I get my Selfie picture set up as a wallpaper?

"Selfie" picture not working for wallpaper

I took a "Selfie" With the LG G3 camera in which I wanted to use as a wallpaper, but whenever i try to set it as a wallpaper it does not work, it want for me to crop it in a square which only lets me put a small frame of the actual picture. Is there a way I can use or an App that will let me set this as my wallpaper? (It forces me to crop it as a small square while i try to use it for my lock screen it works perfectly)

Changing the size of the picture (Paint.net on a PC [it's a free program] will do it) will degrade the size of the picture. There's no lossless picture editing unless you manually edit it pixel by pixel.

Take the selfie again, but hold the camera further away, or have someone stand 5 or 10 feet from you and take it - you can tell them where it looks good if they use the front camera (because the screen will be facing you). Make the picture you want as wallpaper to be the size of the quare the cropping has to be.

Then use that picture and crop it - you'll be cropping exactly wat you want the wallpaper to be, and it will be full quality.

You should not have to do this. Try removing the defaults for the gallery and picture apps (in Application Manager from Settings).

Then, when opening the picture in the gallery you should be able to select Set Image As, and touch Home Screen Wallpaper. This will give you the ability to "crop the picture" to either a spanned image (wide option on the right) or as a full resolution "full" picture (left option). These options on the cropping screen will be at the top.

I ran into this and for some reason Google+ Pictures was being used as a default to crop pics, and it was cutting out things I wanted to keep. Hope this helps.
