How do I get predictive text back?

Predictive text has vanished but worse, I cannot get it back. In Settings it is set to ON (I have checked repeatedly) but it just does not appear when typing any kind of document. How do I get it back?

Try switching to another keyboard, and then back to your Samsung keyboard. You may actually prefer a third party keyboard if you do a lot of predictive text. Google Keyboard and Swiftkey are phenomenal. Hope this helps!

Thanks for your reply. As it happens Predictive Text has re-appeared --- perhaps the result of closing and restarting the Tablet? Thanks for the tip about other keyboards, we will certainly look at the ones you mention in due course, especially if they are better with Predictive Text which my wife finds very helpful.

I personally think Swiftkey has the best predictive text out there. And it learns the more you use it, then backs up online so it syncs your tailored experience across devices. Glad your predictive text came back, definitely makes the device easier to use!
