There is (are?) dark forces at use here.
I have toggled Samsung Experience Home off at least 4 times and each time I go back to check it, it was toggled back on.
What...the HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm, now looking at the post counts of the above "solutions", they seem "SUS" (suspect).

I found this worked for me! I logged in here to share this little chesnut after scouring the web for a solution when I stumbled upon it!

It is a sneaky setting if you ask me.
They aren't technically forcing you to make an account...more making it super difficult to silence...like spam emails....unsubscribe=10 more...

My reprieve was short lived! Somehow as if by magic it came back and now its relentless... I think they know we are trying to block it and stepped it up a notch!

Yes, unfortunately, this didn't work on the galaxy s9+. Any other suggestions?

Is the common denominator that everyone here with the issue is on Verizon?
I have not seen it on my s7 S8 or s9 plus on att or tmobile.

I don't know how Samsung tech support can call themselves such! I was on with them for about 1-1/2 hours trying to solve this. However, I'm very fortunate to live in NYC, where the only live Samsung tech support group in the US is available. Keenan solved this issue in 3 minutes. I couldn't believe it! Here is what he did and it worked like a charm: settings--> device maintenance --> storage --> clean now. Then go back one screen, click on optimize now. Also click battery --> save power. These are very useful, in general, to remove programs from memory. Although I thought I cleared the cache, I didn't do it this way.

Yes, must be Verizon. I have it also.

Newbie here...
I have also been getting this notification and it is driving me insane!
I've tried everything in this thread.
I have a S7 on T-Mobile. So it is NOT a Verizon thing.
It has to be a Samsung thing.
I signed up for a Samsung account but I don't wanna use it.
Just another password to remember and I don't want them having access to my phone.

Why would you *not* want a Samsung account?

More to the point Why "WOULD" you want a Samsung Account, when it's "Yet Another" useless and "forced to have" account you know you'll never ever use! Most people have so many useless accounts because of this. It's hard enough keeping track of the usernames and passwords for the accounts you know you do want, let alone accounts you won't use. These will then send more useless nagging notifications to you, ensuring just enough time has elapsed since the last time, that you won't remember the details of the account login, so more wasted time ***'ing about with garbage you didn't want in the first bloody place!

S9+ Verizon*

Hi.
Anyone know how to get rid of "Tap here to use your Samsung Account" notification?
I've tried Settings-->Accounts-->Accounts-->Samsung Account-->(whatever the 3 dots in upper right hand corner are called)-->About Samsung account-->App Info-->Notifications--> and I turned off App Icon Badges, Allowed Sound and "On Lock Screen", I chose "Do not show notifications".
I am still getting the notifications.
Any ideas?

Thanks!

Perhaps some of your apps that link to Samsung acct ...?
I just checked mine ... all Samsung notification are still on ..
and yet never get any nagging message like that ...

I have been getting this same notification on my S8 and it pisses me off also. It wakes me up, interrupts my work and more. It interrupted me just now while typing this.

Earlier, I tapped on the notification, thinking that I'd do see what it wanted. The first thing it did was to require me to agree to a ****load of terms and conditions. I cannot do anything unless I agree with them. I do not agree, but if I don't, my life will be hell until I do agree. From the few hours of legal education I've had, this in legal terms is equivalent to being forced to sign a legal agreement under duress. The consequence of this at least in Australia, is that the person being forced to sign has the same legal rights as someone that has not signed the agreement. In other words, you are free to use their software and T&C to your full advantage, with knowledge that if you use it in a way that contravenes the T&C, they can never win a court case against you by claiming that you agreed with their T&C.

update: It appears that what the notification wants is simply for you to agree with their *updated* terms and conditions. As I agreed with the original T&C but have now "signed" the updated ones while under duress, I'm not sure how that would stand legally in court if it were tried. In any case moving forward, this has been an ugly experience that will likely affect my next phone purchase decision. Looking at this from Samsung's side, I can see why they may want to get users of their software to sign up to new T&C quickly. But in doing so in the way they have, they have trodden on my toes and likely lost me as long term customer and one that used to encourage others to buy Samsung as well.

Re contacting Samsung legal, so far it's looking difficult but I will keep trying for a while.

Update 7th Sep 2018: Legal told me to ring the help line (premium 1300 number but apparently I wasn't charged), spoke to someone that took me through options that weren't there last time I checked. See posts below for details on that one. I'm still cheesed off that the notification appears in status, even though it makes no sound and doesn't visually interrupt either. I complained about this in the follow up survey.

How'bout we already have one and don't want this annoying notification. I got this message (which sounds like an email or text message coming in) on average every 2 hours yesterday. Next phone will not be Samsung. Next tv will not be Samsung..done.

Since you already have a account, maybe it's spyware masquerading as Samsung?
I have the S8 and s9 plus but never have had your problem.

Ok. New development!
A few days ago, there was a new update for Samsung Experience App. After updating, I noticed I was getting both audible and vibrate alerts now for "Tap here to use your samsung account". I went to settings--> Apps--> Samsung Experience--> Notifications--> General notifications. I saw, which I do not recall seeing these choices before:

Importance - Urgent: Sound and pop up on screen
Sound - Ding Dong
Vibrate - slider was to on.

I turned Vibrate to off, Sound to Silent, Importance to Low: No sound or visual interruption and Uncategorized: No sound (Slider to off position if not already greyed out.)
It's been a few days and the notification has not popped up since!
*Keeping fingers crossed*

So it came down to the user adjustable notifications. Glad you got it sorted out.
