HOW DO i GET RID OF THE PATTERN LOCK ON MY SAMSUNG GALAXY S6

I have set up a patten lock on my phone, but I don't require it and now I go to my settings and am struggling to enable the code.
Please help

This seems like something that can be addressed by going to Settings > Security. There should be an option for changing pattern/code lock.

Or have you tried this and there is some other issue?
