How do I get rid of the stupid sidebar?

So, a while back, some phone update added this stupid sidebar to my s3 that brings up shortcuts for Chaton (i dont even know what that is) email, messages, Chrone and a few other things. I hate it. I want it burned and to never return. How can I eliminate this?

Welcome to the forums. Is there anyway you can attach a screenshot? I'm thinking it might be a multi window option, but I'm not sure.

Go to phone settings, Multi Window, and turn it off. Depending on which version of Android it'll either be a check box or a toggle switch.
