LG Mobile Sync for Android (Fails, Cannot Backup Phone)

My problem is LG PC Suite and LG Mobile Sync for Android when phone is connected in LG Software mode,
towhit they cannot connect to the phone.

I have all the most recent drivers on the PC and the most recent software version on the phone.

I have removed any Anti-Virus and Battery Monitoring apps so that there is nothing interfering with the USB port or the services in the background.

Running Windows XP SP3
Motherboard: MSI System Model MS-6380
Processor: AMD Athalon Processor (x86 Family 6 Model 4 Stepping 4 AuthenticAMD ~1399 Mhz)

Has anyone had similar issues and solved them?
