How do I install new notification tones.

I downloaded a new tone but was only able to get it to install into ringtones. I need it to be in notification tones so I can use it as a messaging alert? Thanks for the help.

make a folder on sd card media/audio/notifications and place there OR get ringdroid and load the song then click save and save it as a notification and itll put it in the right folder.

I am wondering the same thing. I downloaded some motivation tones, but they don't go into the notification list for my messaging.
