how do I remove/uninstall Facebook and Facebook/Messenger from my Galaxy Note 4?

Without my permission, my son downloaded Messenger to my new Galaxy Note 4. Now I'm having all kinds of trouble and all in the world I want to do is to remove this hideous application. In fact, I'm finished with Facebook altogether. I desperately want to uninstall both applications. This phone is so new that I still haven't had a chance to fully familiarize myself with it. I can't believe my adult son was so disrespectful and did this to my brand new phone. Wow.... Can anyone walk me through the steps I need to take to accomplish these two tasks? I would have to say that the priority would be to remove Messenger as soon as humanly possible.

You can't. I've uninstall it but after a week it automatically installed on my phone. I'm also using note 4

Please tell me there is some way to uninstall this messenger application. There must be a way. Do you mean you uninstalled the application or turned it off? If you uninstalled it, how does it reinstall itself? This is too weird!

Yes it installed it self because the app is came pre installed (even you didn't download it) you must root your device to remove it

But you can disabled it if you want to....did your son really installed it? Because I also didn't installed on my device but after a new update the app came pre installed..lol blame samsung for that

can you not uninstall it from app manager ?
