how do I retrieve pictures from a busted S6 Active?

I dropped my S6 Active last week on St. Paddies. I have a ton of video and pictures I'd like to retrieve however, my phone will not respond or connect to the computer. The screen is basically blacked out and I can't unlock it to even stop the alarm. ANY suggestions or Advice would help! I talked to someone with AT&T customer service and she recommended a HDMI chord.. that's my next move.

Did you have Google photos installed and auto backup set up? If so you can access those photos on Google's photo site.
