how do i revert back to previous software?

my phone software updated last night to g981bxxu5cua3.

now i cannot access my messahes or my phone app to make a call. its crashes.

how can this be fixed please?

also have issues with my notification display. each time i pull it down.. and try to tap one of the notifications, the phone locks.

I would suggest that after the update you do a cache partition wipe to get rid of any detritus on your global Galaxy S20. This will not affect your data, etc:

Remove SDXC card if you have one.
Go to Apps and clear cache and data.
- Does apps cache and cache partition different or same?
With pre-installed apps, they can't be uninstalled, only stop and disable.
Q: try installing and use 3rd party text msg app definitely

My S20 was acting buggy back in Dec and I did a factory reset, all is fine now.
Loading of web pages in both Edge and Samsung Internet were stalling, struggling.

I keep a Note 20 and it was fine, Setup 100% identical except differences Samsung makes, and no issues, so helps to compare.
In my case it seemed like it may have been Android 11 update.
I also run with half a dozen beta versions, from Google to Microsoft,
