in gmail, i can seperate the sent from the inbox messages. However, on my samsung galaxy s5 on the gmail app, i can't seperate the sent messages from the inbox messages. I ONLY want to see the inbox messages. How do i do that?

In the GMail app you just tap the menu button on the top left and select INBOX. That should only show your incoming messages. If you replied to something, it will show up as part of the conversation, but not specifically as a Sent Item in your Inbox.
