how do I set swype on my Evo?

find any text field,,,long press it, a popup will come up, choose, input method , select swype

You also have to enable the keyboard under Home>settings>keyboard>. Then when you long press and select input it will show as an option.

It didn't work at all I'm still using the standard text, it sucks monkey balls

You have to open a text message and where you would start typing you press the screen and hold for 3 seconds or so and let go and a pop-up will show and it will say input method you touch that and it will give you the option to change it to swype

enable in settings> language +input...... if swype it isn't there then go here and register
