How do I stop google notifications of sport scores and schedules?

[Android Central Question]

So, this is not a discover in the google app issue. I've dealt with those in the past and I literally have ZERO turned on in the sports section (With three blocks of various teams).

However. I keep getting notifications of a sports team "playing another sports team today at 5pm" and various score updates.

Again, nothing in discover. and I can't slide the notification and tell it to stop notifying me.

It is super annoying and I want it to stop.

Please help.

Welcome to Android Central! When you see one of those notifications, long-press it and tap App Info to see which Google app is serving you the notification.
