How do I stop my voice text from repeating everything twice?

Every time I voice text, my phone repeats the sentence or paragraph twice. Anyway to avoid this annoyance?

I uninstalled the Google updates and it worked. My home button works again. Thanks for the advice.

Go to the Play Store on your phone. Search Google App. Click on the Uninstall button. This only uninstalls the updates. Home button fixed.

Thank you GAMEKINX for the answer.

Instead of "Uninstalling" I just turned it "Off" and that also fixed it. I figured that I can give Google some time to fix it and turn it back on and try updating sometime in the future.

I found out what caused it. Earlier today google pushed an update for their google quick search app ( https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...e.android.googlequicksearchbox&token=rdxB8YiA ), this update broke my home button.

So uninstall the app and you should be fine for now.

This worked with my s3

I found out what caused it. Earlier today google pushed an update for their google quick search app ( https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...e.android.googlequicksearchbox&token=9yuBvn6b ), this update broke my home button.

So uninstall the app and you should be fine for now.

Thanks for the fix. Now if I could just figure out if the battery is going - charges very slowly and rapid discharge of battery power once unplugged.

Open the play store app, type 'Google' into the search bar and click on the Google app, then hit uninstall. You'll be prompted to uninstall updates, which is what you want.

This is the fix that worked like a charm for me...thank you for your help !!! I just uninstalled the updates and the Google Quick Search Bar and the problem was resolved !!

Same thing with my galaxy note 2! Spent an entire day trying to fix by clearing app cache. Then I found this site/thread--went to Play Store and deleted Google update. I've got my home button functioning again. Thank u all! Happy to be part of this community--you all have been so helpful. How will we know Google fixes this?
