How do I synch without deleting email

My forum search didn't provide an answer to my specific question, so here I am with yet another synching question. Like many other Galaxy S4 users, I come from a long history of using a BlackBerry. My question relates to the sync of emails with the S4. Historically, my 9 email addresses (Gmail and Yahoo) that I used on my various BlackBerrys allowed me the option to delete email on my BB without affecting the presence of that email on my desktop. Rather than "synch", I just want to update my phone with the latest emails. Generally speaking, I prefer to receive emails on my phone just once while keeping or deleting it but always keep my emails intact on my desktop. Apparently, that option doesn't exist with the S4. Is there an option or app that will allow me to delete emails on my S4 but not on my desktop? Thanks for any insight on this issue.
