How do I transfer SMS/MMS between devices?

How to transfer SMS/MMS between devices.

I used Textra on my Moto X 2013 and would like to use my HTC One M8 for awhile but when I switch devices my messages do not seem to transfer!? Any suggestions on how to transfer these messages?
