How do I trim the recording on the voice recording app?

I recorded am important conversation that was only about 10min long, however I forgot to hit pause and it's 50 min long. I can't send it via email, text, or messanger because the file is to big. How do I trim off the 40min of nothing?

You need an audio editor.
There are lots on the Play Store, but I cannot make any recommendations.

For a file that big, you might need to take it to your computer to do the trimming.
