How do I turn off the sign in key

A message of select sign key is popping up when I try to forward an email.
It then requests a password when promted.
I am entering my gmail password but it still fails to forward the mail

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone, and which email app? Does this happen when forwarding any email, or just this one?
