How do I update my Android to 4.4.4?

Android 4.4.4 Update on Galaxy Tab4 and PlanGrid App

I am trying to run the PlanGrid app on my Samsung Galaxy Tab4 10.1 and I am not able to see pics that are uploaded to the app. After contacting PlanGrid, they said I should be running Android 4.4.4 on my tablet. How do I update my tablet? It keeps saying that it is already up-to-date with the 4.4. Can anybody please help?

right now there is no android 4.4.4 for the tab 4 10.1 and dont ask me when it will come has i do not no the update will come when it is ready in the mean time injoy android 4.4.2 wish is the lest update for the tablet at this time

Like the Tab 3 before it, Samsung will update your tablet o lynch once than forget about it. So basically 4.4.2 will probably be the last update you'll receive, you can always use a custom ROM in which Lollipop is available. The Tab 4 is a really bad tablet in almost every regard, especially updates. Next time buy a Nexus or Nvidia device as they get updates on a regular basis. You should always avoid heavily skinned Android devices like the plague. Just FYI.

I disagree it's almost guaranteed that 5.0.1 will be made available in April/May

I'll take that bet, look at the Tab 3 before it, received one full update and a couple of security. Samsung's Tab 4 is a horrible tablet.

It depends on what you want the tablet for? It's not a gaming tablet, but for browsing and watching tv/films or streaming music it's perfect. What exactly are you doing with yours? And if you don't have one please don't comment as its pointless criticism.

I have a nexus 7 2013 and yes it's been updated but it's now slower and laggy so not every update helps just because its the latest thing.

Custom roms can be buggy and not done correctly fatal to most newbies.

I have to disagree, too. I had a 2012 Nexus 7 Wifi only, and my newer Galaxy Tab4 has ultimately been a big downgrade. That's not how technology is supposed to work. I couldn't care less about Android 5 (material design just clutters things up IMO), but we should definitely have 4.4.4 already.
