How do I use an apps own notification sound?

I've got a game that used to play it's own notification sound, which was useful because then I knew it was just that game, not a text message or anything. Then my phone broke under warranty and was replaced with a refurbished one, and the new one wants to use the default notification sounds for all notifications. Now, I know how to change the notification, and I suppose I could track down the sound and set it manually, but I'd have to do that with every app that has it's own sound. How do I set my phone to just accept the sounds the app comes with?
