How do I use an OTG with SD card reader together?

Using OTG with SD card reader

With my Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 do I attach the OTG adaptor to tablet first and then attach the card reader? or do I attach the card reader to the OTG adaptor and plug both into the tablet? Thanks.

Hello. Welcome to Android Central.

I don't think it would matter, but have the card reader connected first.
If you have My Files open, and data on the card, it should transform like magic when you plug it in.

Correction : Better to do as above and plug it into your device last. I just tried my thumb / flash drive again. I think tapping the notification shade USB mass storage setting is the way to remove safely before unplugging.
