How do I Watch Movies Via Usb Stick on My 6P?

Have got a 64gb Usb 3 dongle and a Usb 3 to Usb C connecter..how can I watch movies on my phone? What are the settings I use? I usually watch movies using VLC but can`t seem to get it to work,any help appreciated,thanks,David.

VLC works fine, so does MX Player and ES Media Player. What doesn't work for you?

I use solid explorer to navigate to the usb key and from there i use vlc or mxplayer .

Just cant "Find" the usb dongle when connected anywhere in the phone

There is a little USB icon that pops up in the notification bar when you plug the stick in, select it. Also I use ES File Explorer to navigate to the file.

Now getting "unsupported SanDisk USB Drive" Have installed ES File Explorer but still no luck...have used the same drive on Galaxy S6 and HTC One m7 with no problems.

Try reformatting the stick as FAT32 on your PC.
