How do I wireless charge my Razr Mazz XT1080 for the first time?

It was charging overnight and when I found it, the screen was flickering a white/grey background light, then just went dark/died. If won't charge, turn on, or reboot. Not even with various USB chargers that are working with other phones. It was not charging well with the USB prior to this happening, so I think the problem is with the charging port. So I would like to charge it wirelessly. Should it wirelessly charge even though I never wirelessly charged it prior to this problem? I'm concerned that it would have needed to been set up to recognise the wireless charger prior to it being totally dead. Anyone know?
