How do you silence Vignette shutter sound?

Have you tried going into your alarm app and setting it to NOT work when in silent mode? Then set phone to silent mode and try it.

As to the reasons for no camera sound...could be that you want some candid shots of your kid playign or even your kid playing with their friends, and if anyone hears the shutter sound, they just start looking at you and smiling...end of candid shots.

Exactly, I use my camera for taking pics of my pets and wild animals in the yard. The camera sound gets their attention and they stop doing what they were doing.
Also, the noise annoys me.
It has nothing to do with trying to sneak pics of women.

What makes no sense is the stock camera doesn't make the noise. So Vignette added it to their app, but as I posted they don't think they can fix the bug. Plus, they made it so that it overrides silent mode on your phone. WTF?

I wouldn't care as much if it was a free app.

I LOL'd like a fool @ dunkin donuts just now. Every order comes w a free paper. the Sunday Star Ledger's front page article on the left column read " For nudists, a new foe: Cellphone cameras" haha I immediately thought of Mike and this thread haha. Lookout for him at our only nude beach in NJ :0

The version of Vignette I have on my Android allows me to choose to silence the camera. The version I have is 2011.6.23. It's in Camera Hardware Settings.

Magically it is silent again. I don't know what happened.

Let the perving begin!

Kidding. :p

I would settle for a loud shutter click if I could have Vignette store the just shot images faster
