How does everyone like their Note?

Didn't expect the transitions and animations on Note 8 to be so smooth and snappy.

Like it more than I thought I would

"""""best Samsung experience in terms of no stutter/lag even after more than a week of usage"""""

ive always found these types statements very telling of samsung..... Iv been using my Mate 9 for more then 8 months and never once have i notice any type of stutter/lag. anyhow. waiting on the v30 mate 10 pixel to compare against the note 8. then will pick up one of the 4....

Same boat, the Mate 9 is just unbeatable in my eyes, mainly due to awsome performance and battery, mate 10 should be even better, but the Note 8 is very tempting

I was doing something on my S7 Edge tonight and found that the lag was very noticeable. My S8+ and Note 8 are the only two phones that I have now where there is ZERO lag/stuttering.

I'm so happy and impressed by all the people on here that have had theirs for "almost two weeks, 8 days, a week" etc. Since I ordered mine within an hour of pre-orders starting and haven't heard anything since, I'm so happy for others I just can't stand it..

I returned mine. Photography is a huge aspect of a phone purchase for me and my Pixel takes better photos with more turning out clear on a regular basis. The size and curved screen were my biggest concerns. I'm going to wait and see what the Pixel 2 event shows and decide what I want to do.

I really like it. I just converted from iPhone again... I just don't like the front camera. It doesn't work well with other apps like Instagram, Snapchat is really laggy, and anything with a face filter or masks on Instagram and Facebook is also choppy. I've also viewed my photos I've uploaded on social media that I've taken with the Note 8 and I have to keep upping the colors, and adding contrast. It looks fine when I take it on the Note, but I think they're dimmed down so it doesn't look overly saturated on the screen?

I dunno. It's a big enough reason for me to switch back as I'm big on photography. Back cam I'm having the same issues with the colors.

The only android phone that works well with snap is the pixel. It's seriously a conspiracy.

I'm liking it haven't had a note since the 4 all time best phone I ever had but after grabbing the axon 7 I can't really say I'm 100 percent happy I kinda rather have my axon

Hopefully you find a device that works for you. I took mine to a concert last night and got some great shots.

I had the first Note, and then a number of different Samsung phones, until the S8+, and now the Note 8. In the meantime, I have tried a few alternatives, and I didn't like ANY of them. AT ALL. Here's what I prefer about Samsung, the most:

1. Wireless charging. I won't have a phone without it.

2. Flip covers. Open the cover, and the phone turns on. Close the cover, and the phone turns off. Simple. Perfect.

3. Samsung "bloatware." Frankly, I prefer how Samsung does things. Boy, did I miss things like Samsung's music player and video player when I've tried something else. For instance, the music player will play by FOLDERS. I have managed to avoid "playlists" my entire technological life -- who needs them, when you can just use folders, instead? There are plenty of music player apps that simply won't play by folders. And so on. I like Samsung's interface, its launcher, and so on. Works for me -- very well.

Now, let's talk about the screen. For those who can't comprehend why Samsung uses them, the curved screen allows for a phone with a "wider" screen that isn't as physically wide as a flat-screen phone. So, that's the reason for it. That said, I'm not really a big fan of the curved screen -- I would prefer a wider phone with a flat screen, but it's obvious if you want a Samsung phone with a large screen, that screen will be curved. But in the end, the narrower phone fits in places a wider one wouldn't, and the Note 8's curved edge is "less curved" than previous edges. I also prefer the Note 8's more rectangular body than the S8's more curved one.

So, what do I like about the Note 8 over the S8+? Some it is what I just described above, about the screen and the more squared nature of Note 8. While the screen isn't much bigger, the squared corners actually help to make the difference a bit bigger. Of course, the extra memory should help the Note 8 perform better. I really didn't buy the Note 8 because of the S Pen, but I'll play with it and see if I can get some use out of it.

But for me, the biggest difference is the dual cameras. I really don't care about cheap effects and such -- I just value having some effective "optical zoom" by using the second camera with its 2x lens. I have been happy with Samsung's top-of-the-line phone cameras, to the extent they can take pictures without zooming, so having a 2x optical option will allow me to just depend on my phone and leave my cameras at home, to a far greater extent.

In the end, that may not be enough to justify spending the extra money for the Note 8, but unless Samsung launches a non-curved large-screen phone some day, I expect I'll be able to live with the Note 8 long into the future, keeping it far longer than any other phone I've ever owned. That's the plan, at least. But in the end, I was happy with my S8+, and I'm quite a bit happier with the Note 8.

I love my phone! I had the Note 4 and the Note 7(twice), and when I had to get another phone after the second recall, I went with the lgv20. I missed my note almost every day.The LG was good, but I never loved it. Sometimes it's hard to explain why the S-pen makes such a difference, but it's the little things that add up. I love using it to easily scroll webpages (holding it at the bottom of the screen), I love magnify, s-notes, screen capture, email preview, icon identifier (at times) etc. So many things. The live gif and dual cameras were added bonuses for me. Love, love, love this phone. I am so glad I have motion picture back! It's an awesome feature!

Just left AT&T store and almost have it set up so far this device is super fast with a beautiful screen. This is faster than my S8 plus was by far the extra ram really shows.

I'm loving my Note 8 so far! With it's big beautiful screen, snappy software, top of the line dual cameras, and excellent build quality! All of this adds up to an unbeatable showstopper!

It's fast, great cameras, a ton of ram, and has a beautiful design. Off screen memo is excellent. Easily the best phone this year, especially in terms of design and build quality.

It sucks. I'm taking it back tomorrow and waiting to order the iPhone x

What sucks about it? No poopy emojis?
