How does the T-Mobile Nexus 4 receive updates?

Coming from windows phone 7 I've decided to get a Nexus 4.

I am currently on T-Mobile planning to get the nexus 4 soon, just in case the 16 GB nexus 4 from google play is sold out and not restocked I was wondering if the T-mobile Nexus 4 got updates straight from google. If there is one thing I hate its updates that have to process through OEM's and Carrier's, even if the update is buggy I would still rather try a new update like 4.3 rather than wait for fixes to complaints later addressed in something like 4.3.1 (forgive me if I got it wrong I'm new to android).

Rest assured, they come from Google. There was a carrier pushed security update in addition.

Like the carriers, Google pushes them out in batches. For example, I usually get an update about a week after it's released.

They come from Google. T-Mobile will never have anything to do with pushing updates on the T-Mobie purchased 4.
