How is it acceptable to not include headphones

There was an article about beats and htc sawing they opted to not include headphones. My HTC aria had HTC branded headphones. They are cheap but do what I want lol

Yea they wanted to include beats headphones but I think htc chose not to and now htc owns 25% of beats because beats have not been a real seller in phones
