How is the reception quality? (WIFI,3G, GPS, etc...)

Look at my sig, the samsung had horrible radios. The EVOLTE is just like out old school Evo 4G. Raidos are fine.

Here is another vote for crappy Samsung radios. The difference in 3G speeds and being able to hold a connection compared to my Epic 4G are very noticable

I'm coming from a Nexus One on Tmobile. I was very displeased with my Tmobile. It wasn't very good when I lived in Bethlehem, PA. Since I moved to Savannah, GA it's been much worse.

Everyone I know on Sprint is happy with the service so I expected a significant upgrade when I got my EVO. I'd say it's moderately better and I'm thinking of returning it. (I'm also rather unhappy with SenseUI.)

Re: How is the reception quality?

From personal experience, Samsung has the worst radios. WIFI, GPS and 3g. Also on epic 4g, if i use navigation along with a car charger, it discharges faster than it charges. I don't have those issues with HTC. Anything that is not Samsung made is usually pretty cheap and low qality - plastic, radios, chargers. IMHO.

My New Evo is SMOKING fast, especially compared to my ET4G , Samsung phones have horrible radios, I can only get around 100-500 kbps on my ET4G , my new evo is constantly getting 700 +

So far, I have to say 3G SUCKS! I'm beginning to think the bad reviews about the LTE's weak data speeds have more to do with the phone than Sprint's network. I've been in three locations today where my Evo 4G would at least roam; the Evo LTE can't even do that! So I've been stuck with an iPod Touch because NOTHING that requires a data connection works. (And yes, before anyone suggests the obvious, I have every roaming selection ticked on). If I don't find the problem, this thing's going back.

i think i will have to exchange my EVO LTE because mine 3g/wifi cuts in and out. but i do love this phone and the GPS locks on really quick.

Yea I seem to be having the same issue.

Unfortunately mine is also. It keeps losing the 3g Connection although the bars remain. It kept roaming until I turned roaming off. :-(

I'm sure if we call we aren't going to get much help..... :-\

Wifi and GPS seem better than the OG Evo, I seem to have slightly better reception with the EVO 4G LTE, too.

GPS is tremendously better than it was on my OG EVO. WiFi is also a lot better as well. Haven't made or received any calls yet so I can't comment on call quality.

I'll probably run only on 3g tomorrow and test the speeds for my area.

So far I love the reception.

I am noticing somewhat faster data rates than I was getting with my Epic 4G.....approx. 250Kb faster on average. I have not yet had any wifi issues so I'm thus far pretty pleased with the device's radios. Keeping my fingers crossed. :)

Yea My Bars have been Solid and the few Speedtest I have ran were beter then my OG Evo. The Wifes Epic is Bouncing right now between 3 to 5 bars mine is solid on 5 . Can't wait until LTE goes Hot here I'm thinking of turning it back on just in hopes to catch them doing some testing.

Came from the Evo 3d and I gotta say across the board it kills it, and it obliterated my wife's epic 4g touch!

One wifi test and one 3g.

From my long awaited and totally worth it EVO LTE!

I am very curious about the radio. I have yet to trade my og evo for something newer becasue I have yet to find a phone with an equal or better radio.

Anyone with both phone live in more of a rural area have any experience to chime in with? I love being able to get and make calls where other can't.
