How Is The Speaker Quality On The Note 3?

@jackwagon: yes the yea volume works on speaker. Also have you updated to the update that came out yesterday? Supposed to have sound enhancements.

My speaker is fine no problem at all. The ear speaker is a little scratchy, but only if I turn the volume all the way up. But even then its plenty loud enough for me and I wear hearing aids.

I'd say that from what I've heard the speaker is ok, but doesn't have a lot of oomph. Would say solid performance. In the middle of the road. It certainly gets the job done.

I think we all may be speaking of a different speaker. The speaker is fine when listening to videos, music, or even when the phone goes off for ringers and such. But, when I turn my speaker on, DURING A CALL, so I can be hands-free; IT SUCKS! I have to hold the speaker to my ear! I mean, the whole point of speaker phone is to put your phone down and hear people talking. NOT ON THE NOTE 3! When I push speaker, on my calls, it makes the sound WORSE!

Speaker sucks...for such a big phone they could have or should have built a bigger quality speaker. This is one area where the tiny iPhone outshines the note 3.

Same **** Got mine 3 months ago, the more time passes, the crackling on the underside speaker is worse hope they fix it... I use it as a phone more than to draw **** and color paint things... So this is a big letdown for me at least, you can't have a decent loudspeaker conversation... If you don't believe me, go google it Now I know I had to buy that HTC ONE in my other hand at the shop...

The speaker crackles when I get notifications sometimes which is kind of annoying. I didn't have that problem with the note 2 usinh the same sounds.
