Android Central Question

I attempted to send a 58 second video to my friend (i'm on Galaxy A10e and he is iPhone, not sure if that has something to do with it). But, when I tap the video, I get a thing that says

"Trim video?
Video is too large to send. Trim the video to decrease its resolution and size, then try sending again".

This happens with any video over 6 seconds! I can only share it through Google Photos. I can't trim the video because everything in the video is needed. Any help to fix this?

Size limit for most carriers is around 300KB. It's better to share from a cloud because then you don't have to trim or reduce quality. You're def not sending anything HD for 300KB. Maybe a second.

From Android to iPhone unless you use a messaging app like signal, telegram or (gulp!) WhatsApp you can't send long videos. It is best that you both install the same messaging app and send it that way

Is it 300 KB? It thought it was around 1 MB (which is still not enough to send most HD videos, of course).

This is typically a limitation of MMS. RCS has a filesize limit of 10 MB, so if both of you are on RCS, then the video would have more chance of being sent intact. But of course, Apple doesn't support RCS ...

I probably should have said, seems to be, instead of, is, but it's a recently updated article and you're right it does seem low.
