I have used it till the battery "ran out"' and now it has been on charge for a mere 2 hours and it is full...is this corrrect as I was informed by the salesman that i should not "overcharge "the phone???
Welcome to Android Central! You only have to charge it until it reaches 100%. There is no risk of "overcharging" a modern lithium battery. However, I would recommend against draining the battery on a regular basis--over time, this can reduce the lifespan of the battery. Every now and then is fine--just don't do it all the time. As a general rule, start charging when the battery reaches around 30-40%.
