How long to install ROM

Here's what is going on. I rooted and unlocked my GS3 tonight. Everything was working fine with the stock ROM at that point. I also installed ROM Manager and CWM on the phone and then backed up the stock OS.

Then, I downloaded the latest Synergy ROM to my computer. I unzipped it and copied it to the root of my SD card.

Finally, I rebooted the phone by turning it off and then holding the down vol, power and menu buttons. It asked me if I wanted to continue with a ROM install by hitting the up volume or not continue by hitting the down vol button again. I pressed the up volume button.

Now, the phone is sitting on the screen it gave me. It's been about an hour.

It gave me the following messages in the upper left corner:

ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SCH-I535
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: No
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Offical
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE

The center of the screen has the big green android with the following words beneath it:

Downloading . . .
Do not turn off target!

So here I sit. It's been an hour and nothing has changed. Do you think this thing is working or is something else going on . . . and what do I do at this point?

I'll look forward to any advice you have. Thanks!

Your Odin mode not recovery. Pull the battery and hold vol up and down to get into boot loader from there go into cwm recovery

Thanks!!!!!! I pulled the battery and everything returned to normal. It booted right into the standard OS.

I then turned it off and did the vol up/power/menu instead and sure enough, it went into recovery. That's right where I need to be.

I just backed out because it's getting late now. I'll try this again in the morning now that I know I didn't muck things with what I did.

Thanks again!!!!!

It's working great, although there appears to be at least one issue that Synergy needs to fix. The Bluetooth function doesn't work right. It doesn't automatically connect to the HandsFreeLink in the car.

Otherwise, I didn't brick the phone and everything else seems to be working on this version - SynergyROM (r25). Thanks again.
