Why is AT&T releasing so many versions of this phone? Seems like a waste

It's getting freaking ridiculous. Especially since everything released since the I777 has been crippled with a Qualcomm CPU to fit an LTE radio.

AT&T Versions
Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-i777 - Samsung Exynos 1.2 GHz, HSPA+, 4.3"
Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-i727 - Qualcomm 1.5 GHz, LTE, 4.5"
Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD LTE - Qualcomm 1.5 Ghz, LTE, 4.65" HD Display (1280x720)

something like that.. might be a little off.. but close enough

And even though its not a "galaxy" phone, the captivate with the keyboard could be another version as well
