It's more of a $30-50 discount from other places once you take the Best Buy price inflation into account. Then you consider the complaints that people have with getting their device release day I decided to pass.

You really think carriers are going to price this that much less than $609? I'd be shocked if Verizon, depending if I could get a salesperson to actually sell me one, was $550. Every phone I ever purchased outright.. Droid 3, Droid 4, Maxx, Turbo were all $599 or more I think.

I'm thinking the Verizon full retail price will be $599. I saw the contest stuff from T-Mobile and they indicated the actual retail value was $600.

I went to Best Buy today and ordered up the metallic grey. As a matter of fact, the guy said the system wouldn't allow any orders of the white version. He first asked me if I wanted the black but then said that was the black leather for AT&T. So it looks at this point that is in indeed plastic for Verizon.

Just got back from pre-ordering my Black Leather ATT variant! $100 gift card in hand, June 12th cant get here fast enough... It was funny how many people were up there getting S6's, I wanted to make an announcement to all the Samsheep about the GC and also the goodie package from LG but kept my secret to myself. Now I just need to figure out where to get the extra's?

yes, but the AT&T S6 came with more bloat than Verizon.

Wasn't going to pre order, I never have before. In fact was going to wait until Verizon came out with a leather back at least. But the $100 gift card plus the freebies from LG pushed me over the edge and I ordered the Grey one today. I liked the blue one better but figured the grey buttons would go better with which ever leather backs I buy later on than the blue buttons.

I pre ordered my g4 from best buy on Sunday. Sprint black leather version. I had to put $50 down towards the pre order. The $100 gift card and LG free goodie promotion is all icing on the cake. Coming from a g3, the leather and camera are what made me upgrade.

I preordered and paid online. I guess I need to call about the $100 gift card. I wasn't aware it was possible to get it prior to the phone shipping and using it towards the actual phone. It doesn't say much online about it.
