How many of u are happy with S9+

Got my S9+ on March 12 2018 and I skipped the 8 series. Had Samsung S3, S5 & S7 edge. Miss the "Marshmallow". "Nougat" test run on S7 edge was not to good. Now I'm having trouble getting used to this new "oreo" os. So overall with skipping the 8/8+ to get S9+, I'm loving it. Never used camera before so, I'm loving everything about this new camera stuff.

Although I got the S9,
I am very happy with it after having a ZTE Z987.
Much faster than my old phone. Got the purple color but it is not as purple as shown in photos. (Come on Samsung make some electric colors) Not that it matters it is mostly covered by the case.
I was very disappointed to find out the FM chip is still LOCKED. Samsung say they are looking into it? You all upgrading from higher end phones may not see that big of a difference, but going from a low end phone to the S9 is like going from a VW bug to a Cadillac. I am blown away by the screen and the camera's ability. No the camera will never compete with my Nikon, but for a point and shoot phone it is great. The size is smaller that my old ZTE phone, but it fits my hand much better. If they fix the FM chip issue I will be 100% satisfied.

ironic that people state it's faster then the note 8, which it is but not by much, and as a note user it is the pen for me and the S9 doesn't have it. IMHO the manufacturer's are bringing new models too quickly, as the previous model usually isn't a large enough leap to get a "different" device just to have it. I used the note 4 until January of this year, and getting the 8. That was a big difference, but the active link was removed, can be added through an older apk file and bring it back as I use active links ALL the time, and if you don't know what they are or never used them you're missing a huge feature!

I am happy with it overall. There are just a couple things that need attention, for example, I have to keep clearing data on the gmail app for it to active the LED notification light when I get an email. It just makes the sound and later the icon shows up on the screen and notification bar. Other things are a carrier issue that I hope they change or resolve,

The Note 9 might have a bigger battery than the 9+, if rumors pan out. My guess is a wider device to allow that and the pen as well. Hopefully that means a flat display. I'd be all over that if so. Love the S9+ except for the curved display.

I'd be shocked if the Note 9 comes with flat display. But that would be awesome

Thank u guys for all the FEED BACK....Just took the plunge and Got the 128gb Blue S9+....
I still have the Note 8...Will do some comparison videos of both and battery life test...then in few days will sell my Note 8...and selling my G6....
Then I will have S9+ Redmi Note 5 pro and iPhone 6s as my members

...Samsung got my 9+ 'sendback' on the 23rd...last time i had a SG was a '4'...coming from a Nexus 6p (pure droid 8.1 !) 4got how bloaty/invasive/needless most of the SG apps were... Bixby button goin' off all the time was a pisser... only way to disable it was by forced acct sign-up to friggn samsung.com... fuggedaboudit ! deal breaker ? sittn back holding the phone (left-hand) w/the standard thumb across the bottom, forefinger straight up left side, dang it anyway, thumb covers the bottom-rite speaker location makn a muffled mess out of it, arrggghh...display was great, speed was up there too, but... hey, comin' off of 'straight droid', to the world of Sammy 'excess' (root it ? no thanx...) was a pain...keepn Goog Nexus 6P for now...will wait for 5G next yr... ✌️

born2nd, Package Disabler was easy way to disable Bixby button. No need to sign in.

The 9+ 945 is the greatest device I've owned, only marred IMO by the curved corners and edges. Didn't like it on the 8+ either, but all the other good stuff overrides that for me.

Display quality
Speaker quality
3.5 output quality
Signal reception for phone and wifi
Very stable blue tooth
FM radio works
Camera quality for low light
Optical zoom
Speed
Minimal if any throttling with emulators (8+ 835 throttled a lot).

Outstanding from my perspective.

enjoying my s9 plus immensely, even coming from the note 8. Smooth running, fast, great photos, great audio sound, calls and speakerphone work better and the sound is clearer, works very well with work email and attachments, etc. Love the size as well.

Yeah, that ain't happening lol.

I love it! 6g of ram has kept it buttery smooth, the infinity display is the best on a smartphone period. I like oreo but that's not specific to Samsung lol the stereo speakers finally!

If Samsung brings a flat display and an IR BLASTER I'll be all over it lol

Cool. I know how that goes lol.
I think in my case, having the Samsung Tab S3 has helped :) Plus honestly, at least with my specific Note, the S9Plus is running much more smoothly, quicker, and so on. Plus I do like that it's slightly shorter, but as far as screen size goes it's nearly the same.

I may look into the Note 9 when it comes out, though unsure at this time. I like the somewhat shorter form factor. If they didn't make it shorter but made it a tad wider, well then I'd be pretty interested then as well.

if Note 9 is just a S9+ with spen then I mite just stick with S9+ ....I hope Note 9 comes with min 4000 mah battery....bigger mp camera like 16 or 20 mp that's helps when we crop pics ....and maybe better speakers than s9
