How many of you are in a HOLD pattern

Trade-in probably won't be worth it. Heck of a deal a month back from Samsung when they were giving $600 in trade for Pixel 3's towards their Notes - if they were to bring that back for BF I'd probably go with the Note 10+ (I'm a bit torn between that and the 4 XL now), but I'm not expecting it.

I ended up selling my Pixel 2 XL on Swappa for $265 just a few months ago, in June, so I can't imagine the 3 XL drawing less than that secondhand (if in great condition) after this short of a time. Mint condition 64GB 3 XL's have been selling for around $400+ on Swappa lately.

Pixel 2 XL's in good/mint condition have been selling there for about $200
450 for the Pixel 3 towards Note 10+ isn't bad either

He does not need persuasion.... His knees will buckle soon

Right now out the gate with my trade in I'm looking at $758 for the 128 GB XL, could save an additional 200 but then I'm not sure how much Google will drop the trade in value

Anyone know/remember how much value the P3XL lost last year during Google's BF sales??

Any offer that's over 24 months doesn't work for me. If Verizon was offering immediate trade in credit like how it should work then it's a decent deal. Yeah I know it doesn't matter anyway you will be with them 24 months but doesn't work for me. Any offer that says we will credit over the next 'n' months is automatic no from me.

Anyway I'm not the norm.

Yeah, I'm with you, no bill credits. Instant discount is all I'll mess with plus my trade in. I won't keep the phone for more than a year anyway so spreading it out over 24 months is a no go

I traded my pixel 3 XL for Note 10+ ($600 trade in) and could not be happier. That said, I have a weak spot for Pixel phone camera. I'll probably get a used one 4 to 6 month post release date. There will be plenty of Mint pixel 4 XLs to be had for $500 :)

I'm also in a holding pattern. I'm looking at the smaller Pixel 4, so hopefully by BF I'll have a better idea if the battery will work for me or not. I know the XL will get better life, but I really like having a phone that I don't have to constantly shift in my hand to use. And while it's smaller than the Nexus 6p, the only large phone I've owned, it's still quite a bit bigger than the smaller Pixel.

I'm also wondering about the "limited edition" Orange. But it's not a deal breaker if it's not available later. My biggest worry is the smaller battery. I know people like slim phones, but add a few mm's of thickness and put a decent sized battery inside.

I've been using Google phone exclusively since the Nexus 5. I'm not getting the Pixel 4. In fact, I already got a Huawei p30 Pro. I miss stock Android and consider EMUI a mess but I'm loving the camera. I guess I'm tired of feeling as if Google takes me for granted.

I'm ordering the phone despite the negative reviews although some positive ones have surfaced. Battery life isn't a factor for me and I'm a pixel fan. Reason why I haven't ordered yet is I don't think the phone is worth a thousand bucks with it's omissions and the horrid trade in value for a mint P3XL through Google is ridiculous.

That said, how many are holding off until black Friday to see what deals or discounts "may" be offered from either Google, BB or someplace else? The $100 play store credit is tempting but I would rather a price cut on the phone. Thoughts

I pre ordered my Pixel 4 XL.
I hear you on the price being expensive and wanting to hold out for a sale on them.

I don't know if I would want to trade my old phone to Google just because of the lower price they may offer.
But I had the Pixel 2 XL as my newest Pixel before I got the Pixel 4 XL .

I don't think they were offering alot for the Pixel 2 XL , so I did not trade.

Im on T-Mobile as well
