How many use Face Unlock?

Do you use Face Unlock?

I used it for a week and got tired of updating my photo. Just using the pass screen is quicker. Also, I have to wonder if Google is capturing these photos for later use. Remember Goog-411? They used all of our voice data to develop the voice search features now in our Android phones. We would be blind to think that there isn't a possibility of them using our facial photos to develop something else. Remember the Minority Report advertising boards? If that's all that they would be used for, I'm okay with it. However if "SkyNet" gets ahold of that...not a good thought.

if not google, fb will use your photos.. pick your evil ;)

But regardless.. all of us in big US cities are being photo/videographed multiple time aday. I think for NY it's avg 300 times per day per person... so does not matter.

I just want this thing to work more flawlessly :)

I tried it and it worked fine, can see the novelty, but the fact you have to wait to do the face unlock and then still pull the ring, loses the flow of the whole thing and actually takes quite a while compared to other unlocks, it got old real fast.

I agree, I would rather have any touch on the screen to activate face unlock... pulling the ring is sometimes not handy while walking etc, and makes it feel unnatural in terms of teh flow.

But I totaly understand why they would need the ring pull there.. otherwise camera will be active all day.

I turned it off. Since HTC screwed up with this phone and the memory, we don't need something taking up 50MB all the time for no reason. Plus it doesn't work that well.

works fine for the most part... would like to have it enabled for horizontal though for when its in the car lock for example... also sometimes it takes a bit of time...
Not sure if it is more annoying or helpful!?!

Works fast and does the job but I would rather just pull the ring as compared to pull the ring and then face unlock. Defeats the purpose of having it. Hoping a update can disable the ring pulling when face unlock is active. Doubtful tho.

i have been trying to use it, sometimes it looks for my face and sometimes it just opens to the homescreen with no security and sometimes asks for pin. Wish it worked.

Love it. But I took like 55+ shots to improve recognition. And it did the opposite. Wouldn't recognize me anymore. So I cleared the pics by taking off the face unlock and turning it back on. Now I took like 5 shots and works so much better.

I don't like the way it interacts with sense lock screen. Otherwise I might use it. Never used it on my nexus cause of the poor camera.

I don't like how it times out so quickly either and goes right to the password. Should wait or never time out until you press a button.

Agreed. Fun novelty but gets old quick.

I disabled it because I don't like seeing my face in the morning, lol. Maybe if someone has a way to disable the feature that lets you see yourself I would use it more?

That's not a bad idea. And then when people try to get into your phone they have no idea why they are just staring at it trying to unlock it but there is no unlock.
