How many users have decided to go with NO Insurance on the V20?

I am seriously thinking about NO INSURANCE......... I am a very careful person and "do not drop my phones" I have another 10 days to decide..
on getting insurance or NOT. I never made any claims within the last 10 years. What do you think? Should I get insurance or not on an $800 dollar V20 phone here??? I also always go "bare naked" on all my past smart phones and DO NOT drop them ...

I have always gotten insurance on my devices. No experience on the v20 but my v10 display got a hairline Crack from just being in my pocket and probably hitting a coin very lightly... sucked... at the time though I had insurance the phone I paid for before taxes was 599.99 so it was worth it to pay 200 for a claim... I think it's a good idea to get insurance. I've only made a claim once in 7 years and that was for the v10 but even then it was worth it. It also depends on how much the insurance plan is for your carrier... I'm paying $10 monthly and I think it's fairly reasonable...

4 lines - 9 smartphones. 4 lines all have insurance. Same carrier. Tmobile.

My only claim has been the v10 out of the 9.

Not trying to sound like a smart *** but never say never. Because when you think you won't, you will. Lol. I would get the insurance unless you got the money to replace the phone in the event that something does happen.

My phone is NEVER left on any table while I walk away to get a drink or other. I always watch my phone like a "Hawk" so it won't be stolen.......

Lol i was referring to it getting broken or damaged but yeah that too. Just saying accidents happens to everybody. Nobody is perfect.

I've never owned insurance for my smartphones but ive always been irresponsible lol

I have had insurance in the past on new phones that I got from the carrier. The last couple of years I haven't had insurance. Decided if I had to replace my phone, it would be with an older phone anyway.

I never get insurance for any phone either and go naked all the time. So far I've only dropped an iPhone but non of my android phones ☺️

Ive always had insurance on my phone. In the last 5 yrs also no stolen or lost phones. Ive had a cracked screen but idk there're so many local places that will replace the screen. After reactivating my acct i noticed they didn't add the insurance. Im thinking just eff it and wind it without it. Idk im still hoping for the note8 lol.

I personally don't get insurance, but I do buy Verizon's extended warranty ($3/mo for the life of the phone) because it's been my experience that phones just don't hold up well anymore from a design standpoint. I.e. Failed internal components, ports that wear out, etc.

My wife does have full blown insurance, though. Being a stay at home mom with 5 kids kinda necessitates that. Lol

I'm glad to see that many different users have posted about their insurance experience... it seems that many have insurance only for safety reasons not cause they've actually had an accident which is still a very good thing to have just in case... you never know when an accident can happen. Be safe

true. just like car insurance (even though its mandatory in tx) you never know. I might be super careful with my phone. but who's to say i have it on a table and clutz drops a cup of water on it?
still debating adding it though lol seems like its getting pricier and pricier. used to be $7 then 9 then 11 now sprint wants $13

I don't get insurance for my phones but I do use a cases or various cases and I keep a backup device.

I did have to send my LG V10 back to LG because of the bootloop issue. (That happened within the first year of me having the phone but it made me not trust the device anymore) It was repaired swiftly and returned to me in less than a week. I was glad to have a backup phone at the time because I do not have a landline.

I was one who typically kept insurance before but as deductibles and monthly fees got higher I just didn't think was worth it anymore. As other have stated never say never because things happen... Just have a plan just in case something does and you will be fine.

Wife and I are in out late 40s and have had smartphones since day one, with that said......... My wife never gets insurance and has never had to use it. I always buy insurance and use it at least once a year. I have a rough fast paced trade so its a no brainer for me to buy it. I would much rather pay a 200 deductible and get a replacement in 24-48 hours than shell out $800 for a new phone or forced into downgrade to a cheap used craiglist replacement due to the fact another new $600+ phone isn't economically feasible

Insurance is a personal decision, and as much for peace of mind as anything else. I always considered it too expensive and have never had a phone problem. I have dropped my V10 multiple times without damage. I use a glass screen protector that guarantees against screen damage. It recently got a hairline crack on a drop, so am replacing. I have a very slim clear case, but gave that up as still too bulky, but it is also good for peace of mind.

Exactly, I'm glad you understand me.

It's something that will keep you secure pretty much like life insurance today, now I don't know how necessary smartphones are in your daily live but for me it's a necessity! It's just as important as my vehicle or possibly more in some cases. I also agree with the above poster. I've had the same situation with my v10 which was a hairline Crack and it happened the first month of purchase. So at that point insurance really did help me out... it's a personal preference that needs to be closely considered and looked at to make sure that it is in fact something that you do or don't need. Mistakes happen out of the blue so you never really know what to expect or when... it's always best to be secure though... Better be safe than sorry right...

I would recommend insurance, especially since some are reporting cracked camera lenses.

Yeah. I completely forgot about that... I guess it somehow slipped my mind aye ... above poster is correct. There have been several reports of cracked camera lens of the V20... so if that is something that conerns/worries you then insurance would be ideal.
