How much do you pay Verizon each month?

Too much. But lets see...

Family plan with 4 lines (2 Droids, 1 Blackberry, 1 dumbphone)
1400 Minutes Shared - Nationwide Plan
Unlimited Mobile to Mobile
Unlimited Mobile to Mobile Text
Unlimited Pix-Flix Messaging (whatever that is lol)
Unlimited Nights and Weekends
Unlimited Data on the 2 droids and blackberry
Friends and Family 10
Insurance on all phones

Roughly $270 per month. Never go over minutes. Just sent the stuff in to see if I can get a work discount.

The same at Sprint is $180 per month for my family of four after a 25% discount (4G). Verizon is $90 (50%) more a month but you get great coverage. Or you could have ATT and get worse coverage and pay even more.

Check out the Sensory app below to see how much better you coverage is.

Do you folks know if the "primary" person on the family plan has to be the student in order to be eligible for the discount??? I am primary on our family plan and my gf is still in college but I am not so I was wondering if our plan would be eligible for this discount..?

Yes, the Primary person on the Family plan has to be eligable for the discount....and even then, the discount is only applied to that one person's line, not to the entire bill.

1400 minutes family share plan (2 lines)
500 txt and picture on both lines
Data on both lines
Insurance on one line
visual voice mail on one line

About 187 a month after 8% work discount and taxes.

450 Nationwide Talk - $39.99
TEC Insurance - $5.99 (I believe this goes up to $7.99 for next cycle due to DInc upgrade from my old dumbphone)
500 Msg and Unlimited In-Network - $10.00
Data Plan - $29.99

Out the door price is about $95, give or take. I could get a discount through my work, but not worth it IMO to let big brother see all my phone activity.

Also not sure how some of you get your costs so low. I basically have the bare-bones package.

I get where you are coming from. However, my wife likes her some verizon. Not to mention we have to switch 4 people over and all that. Last time I had sprint, I had to stand in the middle of the street in front of my house to get a decent signal.

Add all those into the fact that with the exception of 3 friends, and some work people, everyone we know has verizon. Makes for great free mobile to mobile. Thats why we never go over minutes or texts. The kids sometimes have a couple thousand texts a piece per month.

Going to check out the app though I doubt we will be switcing from big red anytime soon. I just hope the work discount goes through. If it doesn't, then we will try the student discount route.

700 share plan
4 total phones
3 have unlimited text
2 have unlimited data and full insurance ($7.99 plan)

Your company won't see those discounts or activity. Verizon offers companies a discount for their employees just because those companies do business Verizon... It just acts like a preferred customer discount.

Not in this case. I've almost signed up for it before, but the small print in the company sign-up said that in signing up, I allow 'full contract disclosure' to my company, which included viewing my bills, activity, call logs, etc. Its a different set-up than just going to Verizon and saying 'Hey, I work at X company' and getting a discount. I have to set it up THROUGH my company. Its more like I'm taking my personal phone and transforming it into a personal/business phone than anything else.

1400 minute family plan shared between 4 total phones (2 smartphones and 2 dumbphones).
Of course, $30 data on the 2 smartphones, insurance on 2 smartphones, no minute overages ever......about $250/month.
