How Stupid Can You Be....

So my boss calls me a little while ago, asks me to write out a memo. (I work as a security officer, overnight at a gated community) Apparently, one of the other officers have been using the post phone, Sprint Kyocera PTT phone, for personal texting and Web Access (what little Web Access you can get on that phone). He got the bill.. and has requested a detailed bill to pin point the responsible officer(s).

Knowing that the phone is a company phone and the boss would receive the bill, why would you do something so stupid that could be traced back you.

That's my "stupid" story for the day, what's yours?

Yeah that's fun to work with .. I once had a guy ask me why he lost his wifi signal when he left his house (Straight Talk user)

Some workplace cop the full bill like my dads former work they would give a new mobile every time his broke - paid most of his bill (if it was over something like $100 a month he would have to pay the gap). Yeah it is a silly going OTT on a work mobile though if they won't pay for most it.

My favorite was when one of our smug supervisors was certain he busted me using the company phone for personal use because the call was dated for my shift on 1 August. What he failed to notice was that the call was for 3pm and I was on a night shift which STARTED on 1 august but not until 7pm. I took great pleasure in saying "great job, Sherlock!" to him
