I would recommend Rom Toolbox Pro $3.99 https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...rummy.liberty.toolboxpro&hl=en&token=DWOHWrKB
Cheaper than TiBU and more functions.
It doesn't really matter as long as you have it backed up otherwise you will not be able to except an OTA if you ever decide to.Hi - Looks like for some reason I had uninstalled SDM using TiBU, not frozen it. Then I came across this article. Should I reinstall and then freeze? Thanks

Just make sure you keep it frozen or deleted while the phone is rooted.
Do you have the sdm file backed up with titanium backup?
No.. Just the modem/radioProbably not the right thread to ask, but has there been an update.zip created that can be used on Stock Unlocked/Rooted phones? I took a quick look through the threads but didn't see anything. Thanks!

A little more digging turned up the reason that the sha1 checksums don't match - after rooting the phone the first thing I did was apply the WiFi patch so that I could have access to the WiFi icon in the Notification bar, which obviously updated the SystemUI.apk.
So I guess if I really want the latest OTA I'll either have to load the stock unrooted ROM, do the update and then re-root or load the updated rooted ROM and see what it has in it.

levi,
Why do you want to skip the OTA? LG doesn't include Knox in their release, so there isn't any downside that I'm aware of.
Anyway, SDM is apparently called some else on LG phones, but I have no idea what. Look for anything with 'update' in the name.
