[HOW TO] Build A Theme-By SGBZ

I got the winsign in the proper folder layout now but it is still no letting me sign. If i right click on my edited apk it does not have the "resign apk" option like in the tutorial picture. I dont know what im doing wrong.

On the winsign link provided do i need any of the other files besides winsign? boot-tools?

This will make it very easy for you.Take the attached zip,open it,extract the contents into the tools folder.Double click the autosign.bat file.Then all you do is
1 *hit enter
yes *type it,not just y,hit enter
2 *hit enter
yes *hit enter
3 *hit enter
yes *hit enter
7 *to exit
Everything should now be set up to sign.

That should work.That's the way i set up all my pc's to sign.As long as you have java and android sdk set up then this will allow you to sign.If it doesn't after set up then try rebooting.
I would save the zip cause sometimes java likes to go nuts and you have to set it back up to sign.

I feel like an idoit, that everyone has got this but i am at a lost haha, I have all the things downloaded and I am a graphic designer so photoshop is a breeze, but I dont know what to do NOW that i have all the files downloaded can we have a more detailed explanation on once you download them what to do to get started? thanks

I am cracking my head on how to do this but I am stuck at how to extract a rom. I downloaded to tools on my mac but I can't seem to figure out how to get the APKs out. please help.... maybe I'm just stupid.

I tried everything I could try and I'm still not getting it. Im so exhausted!! I wanna pull my brains out!!!!

after hours and hours of trying and almost pulling my hair, I think I got it!

no I don't got it. I need those picture samples displayed. I got all the way to extracting the apk's and modifying in photoshop, but I'm stuck after that on my mac.

Can you list out what you used to extract, along with steps, on the mac?

Also, can anybody else give some insight on how to finish the job on the mac?

Take it as a compliment, some people just know they will never compete with Picasso so instead they sit back and enjoy his art You are truly a Picasso of Android themes. Nobody will argue that.

Yeap this is a basic guide of how to theme.It just takes a little diggin around to find the right files to edit.If i remember right the top bar is in the framework folder framework-res.apk not sure which file inside the apk i think check insside the drawable-hdpi folder.Thats all from memory so it might be in a different folder but it's in that apk.

i haven't figured out how to extract the images using a mac yet, so i have nothing to show

Have you checked youtube? There are probably some video tutorials on how to do the same thing on a mac. If you send me a mac I will figure it out and post it for you

well, i think i figured it out, i will give it a shot here soon. i just changed the "verizon wireless" to "phildo's droid x" on both stock lockscreen and the notification pulldown, and this included modifying the framework-res.apk
